Day Two: Three Weeks to the Suit

At this point, I must digress a bit, about a twenty something year digression.

I left Long Beach, Mississippi as an in shape mother of four young children. I was the mom that when people saw us out and about asked, "Are they all yours?" Life rocked along famously for said children and me (and my figure). Then I hit 40! Not only did that joyful event transpire, but I was also invited to go back to TEACHING! Need I say more about what happened to my waistline and my wardrobe.

Let's move ahead 17 years. On March 5th, I resigned my position as a teacher for personal reasons. A few days later I took inventory. What I found was a shortdumpy school marm with several pair of polyester pants and "smock" shirts. I was hiding myself under that lovely wardrobe. Horrified, I decided it was time to do something to fix this problem. So my journey began.

As I have been at this venture for two months now, I find myself in much better shape (the outfits given to charity--if they even want them) and a much better place. But, I still have that "famous five" pounds that need to go in order to wear the pink suit from years ago! Hence, Day Two: Three Weeks to the Suit continues.

Check in tomorrow for further details.

  1. The "suit" is gorgeous, but you could always aspire to something Y & H!
