My make-over took me a different direction these last few days. I took some time for celebration and enjoyment. They are both invaluable tools in redirecting one's karma. Diet and exercise are essential as we all know, and we put effort in achieving these goals. But what about our souls? Too often we don't get enough time to laugh, love, and celebrate.
On Friday, we were fortunate to get to enjoy a celebration for our daughter Callie. She has been teaching and working hard to earn her Texas teaching certificate through a state program. Callie completed her efforts and, as a family we had the opportunity to celebrate together. One of our favorite places is Kobe Steaks. We convened to honor Callie's acheivement. Because she comes from a long line of educators, this was an extra special and memorable moment for us. Thank you Memo and Nana for getting started down that road!
Secondly, I spent a couple of days relaxing with my daughter Meg. We spent "Sunday, Funday" enjoying the ambience of Austin. We started with brunch downtown, then worked our way through the city with shopping, wine, tapas, and visiting with friends. The atmosphere of Austin is one of harmony and peace in an eccentric environment. Good for the soul.
I realize that none of this did anything to assure the loss of the "famous five," but doggone it, my spirits are soaring! Who knows what will happen with the suit?

You are truly inspiring me here dear lady. Keep it up!
